This is going to be short...

I'm trying to draw a character from a story (Lemon Head) and this is just what I think he looks like, but I'm probably a bit off...

Second Thought

Hey!

In case you're wondering (as if!), Rose isn't my real name, it's just a pen name. I'm also using it on a website called smackjeeves, it's a web comic host. I'm making a comic there myself, called 'A Rose's Thorns'. Here's what it's (going to be) about:

"Everyone at school, even the teachers, hate Rose. She is constantly bullied, but not wanting to cause trouble she doesn't tell anyone, not even her parents. Because of this they assume she is just a bad kid and want to teach her a lesson in taking care of stubborn kids, so they send her off to be the live-in 'nanny' of a spoiled rich boy.

"This spoiled rich boy is Yukio. He has been spoiled for his entire life so his parents have decided to make him live with only a nanny to give him a taste of the 'real world'.

"Their personalities definitely clash, but as they find out more about each others lives they slowly come to like one another."

If you feel like reading it, you can check it out HERE.

And here's the banner that I'm going to be using (I might replace it though...):

Isn't it cute? Just kidding, my drawing skills have a long way to go! Plus, I'm not a huge fan of drawing in color most of the time.

Thoughts on my 'happy song' :)

Hallo!

Hallo = German for 'hello'

Miss my drawings yet? Just kidding, but I did make another one. This time I was listening to "Mr. Music" (can listen to it HERE). I guess music is what inspires me to draw the most. I really like this song because it's got a very happy and fast beat. It has a cute childish sound to it, but is still something that can be easily danced to. If you're feeling down, this might just be the right song to get you back up again. :) I guess you could say that this is my 'happy song'.

I tried drawing a girl dancing to the music she was listening to. I wanted her to look happy and childish (like the song). How'd I do? I kind of messed up on the hands, but was too lazy to fix it XD. I'd be glad to hear any suggestions for improving.

Thoughts on Rain Love

你好!

你好 = nǐ hǎo = Chinese for 'hello'

Have you heard the song 雨爱 (yǔ ài) by Rainie Yang? It's really great! 雨爱 is from the Hi My Sweetheart OST, and in English it means 'Rain Love'. Overall it's just another 'touching love song', but I'd have to say that the lyrics really pack a punch and get you to think.

My favorite part of the lyrics is "It is blurry... But I don't want to see clearly." I think just about everyone has had an experience where they feel this way. Rainie Yang has a great voice, and it fits this song perfectly sending out every feeling it's meant to.

If you haven't heard it yet, you can listen to it HERE on YouTube with English subtitles.

What are your thoughts? Do you know a song with great lyrics?

P.S. I tried drawing something to it. I got the idea for it off of the song and the picture in the video linked above. I've still got a long way to go, but I think my drawing are getting better.

Thoughts on Drawing... Tablets.

Cześć!

Cześć = Polish for 'hello'.

I got a drawing tablet for Christmas! It's my first one so I'm still trying to get used to it... It's really weird! You draw using the pen and tablet--but you look at your computer screen, so it's not completely like drawing with normal pen and paper. I'm pretty bad at it, but it's better than using a mouse.

I've been wanting a tablet for quite a while now, because I've been working on a web-comic. So far I would just draw my sheets on normal paper and then scan them onto the computer, but it just doesn't look as clean and coloring it is a pain. I can't wait to get better at using tablets so the sheets will look better!

What are your thoughts? Do you use a drawing tablet?

P.S. Here's the most decent looking picture I've made with my tablet:

♫ Music Thoughts ♪

Salut!

Salut = French for 'hi'.

Do you like music? I don't think I've ever met a single person who doesn't like music. For me, it's a way to calm down, get hyped up, communicate, and think. It's kind of funny though, people usually use fast-paced angry-sounding music to calm down, but for hyping up it's the same again. And not a lot of people think of music as communication anymore, especially when hearing something on the radio nowadays. At least I know I'm not alone when it comes to needing music to think though!

I think I have a pretty weird preference in music, though. I really like listening to music that's in other languages. One of my reasons is that it helps me when I learn a new language. But here's the weird part: Everyone I know starts complaining when I play music in other languages, the main reason being they can't understand it. That's exactly why I like it though--I like that I don't understand what they're saying. I don't even know why though. :D

What are your thoughts? Do you have any weird music preferences?

First Thought:

Hi there!

I guess this will also serve as my introduction. My name's Rose. I have a lot to do I guess, but I still find myself getting bored a lot. My parents were teasing me a few days ago saying "If you're that bored just do anything--maybe try a blog." As I said, they were just teasing, but I really am that bored so I figured why not?

When I'm bored and don't feel like doing anything in particular I usually just end up thinking. Not of anything specific, just letting my mind wander. That's why the URL to this blog is watashi no kansou. That's Japanese for 'my thoughts'.

I really don't know what I'll write about, whether I'll continue this, or whether even if I continue how often I will update. I really don't care if anyone even reads anything I write, after all if this were for publicity there would clearly be better ways to achieve that.

So, what are your thoughts?
